ಈ ದಿನ ( ಮಾಘ ಶುದ್ಧ ದ್ವಾದಶಿ ) ಶ್ರೀ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಮಹಾರಾಜರ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುಭಕ್ತರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸುವರು 
ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾರಾಜರ ಅನನ್ಯ ಭಕ್ತರಾದ ದಿ|| ಶಂಕರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಒಂದು ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

ಮಾತೃ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಪರಿಪಾಲನೆ ನೀ ಬಾ |
ಪ್ರೀತಿಲಿ ಭಕ್ತರ ಪೊರೆವನೆ ನೀ ಬಾ |

 Shri Brahmachaithanya Maharaj chose Shri G. Venkannaiah to serve in His mission of spreading devotion to Ram-naam, and up-lift mankind.  The place Shri Maharaj gave Darshan to Shri Venkannaiah was Malligere.

MALLIGERE

Malligere is a remote village in Karnataka, about 35 kms from Chikkanayakana halli, a town in Tumkur District. It is here that Sri Maharaj first gave Darshan to Shri G. Venkannaiah on a tank embankment and asked him to ".come to Gondavale'. and vanished. This sacred moment, in that place, caused  Shri G.Venkannaih to go to Gondavale and got initiated to 'Ram-nam', and later on to construct a Shri Ram Mandir in Chintamani.(The details of his darshan with Shri Brahmachaithanya Maharaj has been published in this blog elsewhere, as per his own article published in Golden Jubilee souvenir of Gondavale Samsthan)
Some of the Villagers have marked the place where Shri Maharaj stood while giving darshan to Venkannaiah, and have erected a sthoopa (a small pillar) and have installed  paduka.in stone.
A large number of devotees visited this place on Sunday (30-1-2011). Devotees from Chnthamani, Bangalore, Tumkur, Tiptur and Arasikere had assembled there for the pooja arranged by Shri Jaya Prakash, (nephew of late shri venkata rao,retd.railway station master). He had also brought the Danda and Paduka of Shri Maharaj, which the family have in their house. Maha Prasad was served to all the devotees.

MALLIGERE

                          A VISIT TO MALLIGERE

Malligere is a village in the Tumkur District, Chikkanayakana halli taluk.

It is here that Sri Brahmachaithanya Maharaj gave darshan to Sri G. Venkannaiah in 1913 (Nov), while Sri G.Venkannaiah was meditating on Sri Ram, near a tank he was supervising as a P.W.D.Sub-Overseer, during the lunch-hour. Sri Maharaj called him to Gondavale (Gondavalyave!).( the full information about this is given earlier in this blog)

Some people of the village have identified the place where Sri Maharaj gave darshan to Sri G.Venkannaiah, and have erected a small sthupa there. For us that is a sacred place,from where Sri Maharaj started to influence and Grace many devotees of Karnataka . Chinthamani Mandir is the main out-come.

Devotees here, and from Bangalore,Tiptur and Arasikere have planned to visit the place on Sunday,30-1-2011, for a Satsang there.

Hadonahally is a village in Doddaballapur taluk. There is a Mandir dedicated to Sri Brahmachaithanya Maharaj. Upasana is going on as at other places.
